In 1995 only 296 Mastiffs
were examined for CERF compared to the 1,150 mastiff litters and 4,245 individual
Mastiffs which were
registered that year. One third of those 296 had at least one eye problem.

Finding a CERF Vet
CERF clinics are often held at dog shows and matches and at Pet Smart stores.
So, besides contacting the CERF vets themselves, try contacting local dog clubs
and Pet Smarts. Some CERF vets
travel around their area to other vets' offices and offer clinics, so even if there
are no CERF vets in your immediate area, call around and see if there are any
that travel closer to you.
