Ch. Evergreen Bartholomew Beau - OFA Good - is our first mastiff. After years of being a quarter horse lover, I finally found a mastiff that satisfied my expectations of a dog with a quarter horse rear. Bart is broad-chested, big boned, and has thick well-developed muscles in the rear and excellent hind angulation. He also has an outstanding topline and a very short dense coat which combined have made him a consistent winner in the ring. Watching his powerful run across the lawns each morning I am only filled with awe. He is brother to a world champion pulling dog and his offspring have also consistently been strong in the rear. Bart also has a nice head with a clean short muzzle and a well defined stop. `A classic mastiff head' quoted by Judge Donald A. Gill. His son `Beaumont Regency Dandy Devon' took a BOB at 7 months and his sister `Evergreen Chelse Of Beaumont' took BOS at 6 months. He also has had siblings finish with 3 five point majors.

I feel that poor rear angulation and development have been a sore spot in the breed since Ch. Crown Prince and I hope that some day all mastiffs will have a rear like Bart's.

Interested bitches must be OFA certified and I recommend that they have large broad heads and large bone. Upon our personal approval - photos upon request.
