Duncan is an exceptionally sweet, lovable, family-oriented gentleman. He is well-mannered, playful, very energetic and very gentle and caring. He lives very happily with four other mastiffs (1 male, 3 females), a mix-breed, 2 cats and of course let's not forget the four humans! Our young son has always brought home lots of friends who love playing with all our dogs. Duncan loves playing with anyone, going hiking, going for rides, showing, the adventure of going to new places and meeting new people (he's a big hit in Newport, R.I.!) and he justs loves the girls. He's a real ladies' man!

Duncan is a beautiful, well-balanced and very sound mastiff. His conformation, movement and temperament are exceptional. He has a board straight top line that remains as he moves around the ring or fields with power and grace.

Duncan started his show career as a young pup being exclusively handled by our daughter Heather. He is our first mastiff and the first dog our daughter has ever shown. He did very well and also received several Group placements in puppy matches. He received his first Best Of Breed one weekend after his first birthday in December of 1995 in Boston, MA under Dr. Quentin LaHam over five respected specials. Dr. Lattam said "He's beautiful. You had better take real good care of that one!" Duncan received his championship a few weeks later. He then went on vacation to grow up. He started showing again in late July 1997 with Heather and Deborah M. Hunt. In those 5 months he received multiple B.O.B.s, a Group 3, a Group 2, a Group 1 and a Best In Show (he also received his CGC the same day). He's doing so well and absolutely loving every second of it. The day he doesn't he will retire.

Duncan finished 1997 as the number 5 dog in the country. In 1998 he received an Award of Merit at Westminster. And in 1999 he received the first Award of Merit at Westminster.

Duncan has been bred and is at stud to approved bitches.
