Peaches is a couch potato, loves to lie by the fire, dislikes
water, and is very loving and loyal, overly so in fact.
She developed OCD in her shoulder
which was operated on when she was about 6 months old.
She was then spayed and placed in pet home, but was returned
because she was overly protective, considered the kids in
the neighborhood to be a threat, and the owners were not allowed to
put up a fence because of covenants. Here, on the farm, she
behaves well and most people leave with the impression that she
is the friendliest dog we own. But, I know that she is easily
stressed and tends to be overly protective and I consider her to
have a borderline temperament.
She recently hurt her knee, which was x-rayed and lab work
was done on the joint fluid. Nothing definitive was found, so
it is attributed to DJD probably from an injury. Peaches is
straight stifled which makes her prone to concussive injuries of
the knee and the fact that she loves to play "body slam" with
her 200 pound brother, Ianto, didn't help.
