Ch. De Vine Bronwyn LlewellynDOB: 8/4/88 OFA good, DJD grade I left elbow, VWD clear, Thyroid Normal CERF normal-normal at 2 years 29", 165 lbs Died: December 10, 1999 heart attack Sire: Ch. Old School Primo Remo Major Dam: Peersleigh De Vine Shera OFA,OFEL,CERF Bronwyn loves to swim and she does it very well. One of her other favorite activities, unfortunately, is eating rocks, it almost cost her her life. Bronwyn loves to work and did very well in obedience classes. Bronwyn is a dominant bitch, but not aggressive, i.e. she can put on a good show, but doesn't inflict any injuries unless the other dog bites her first - this has happened only once when her dam, Shera, attacked her. She has appointed herself as my personal body guard and if I go anywhere that makes me nervous I take her with me. Bronwyn did well at the shows, taking a couple BOBs. Her biggest win was BOS over several specials bitches with Bill Hemple judging at the Old Dominion show the year she finished her championship. Bronwyn has spondylosis of the spine which was detected by OFA when her hips were x-rayed. So far she has not had any symptoms of spondylosis. She has DJD grade I in one elbow, but the only time she limped was when she was young and it was diagnosed as panosteitis. Bronwyn's hips were x-rayed for OFA twice, the first time they came back good and the second time they came back fair. Bronwyn had one litter of six before she was spayed. All of the pups have been OFAed, 4 good and 2 excellent! They did not do as well on elbows, one has not been checked, 3 are clear and 2 have DJD grade II in both elbows. Their sire, Justice, was an excellent working mastiff, who played the part of Mudge in a local school play. He recently passed away at the age of 9 due to a kidney infection. Bronwyn's pups are Tegwen, Luna, Shebbaz, Marged, Peaches, and Ianto. |
